No match thread for this, so I assume not a lot of people watched it.

Preston beat Blackpool (deservedly from what I've seen) but the fans celebrated with a pitch invasion. Seriously? A league one team beating a championship team (who didn't exactly set the world alight last season) in the first round in a match they played well enough to deserve the victory (i.e. it wasn't a snatch and grab park the bus type performance that would lead to high tension) and they celebrate with a pitch invasion? A bit unnecessary, isn't it?

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic. A steward trying to keep the fans apart is now injured on the pitch after being accidentally trampled by a police horse - if they didnt pitch invade then it would have never happened.

Shocking, fortunately nothing more serious happened.

EDIT - Steward not badly injured which is very lucky.

Equivalent to us v Palace

Exactly, neither of us pitch invaded when we beat each other last season. The 2 do have history though so its clear why the police horses went onto the pitch, that and there wasnt any space between them at FT.

By all means pitch invade at the end of a promotion winning game, but in a First Round cup tie win at the beginning of the season ? REALLY ?

My geography is not great. Nor is my knowledge of lower league rivalries. I did not know that. Thanks.

It also explains why sky picked that game to show.
Yes obviously Sky think Morecambe v Wolves is more Local than Rotherham v Sheff Wendy Tomorrow.

I think you need to complain to the highest authority.
