Two of us from Southampton-sur-la mer. Train tickets booked, the first leg will be Southampton to Victoria (via Gatwick) on Southern. What do you reckon the chances are that a train will turn up? Fail safe option of South West trains to Waterloo, despite engineering works, will save our bacon. Then onto Euston for Virgin train to Preston and time to hit the tins!

In a similar situation , but doing the London leg tonight for extra failsafe back up bacon saving precautions...
