That can't be a lot of fun!!!
I've seen him outside his place in Hove on my way down to games. He always looks cheesed off, but I think thats just his nature. He must be gutted though to see all these Albion fans walking past his house once a fortnight, knowing that he could still be in charge. Perhaps, bizarrley more than most he's praying we get into Falmer ASAP

If that is the case are you entered for the Olympics walking Race as you will win it easily. I would suggest 5 mins if you cut through the unmade up road or 8 -10 mins if you dont.

I don't think it is an Olympic sport anymore - I know you probably weren't actually serious, but I am just saying, it isn't!

via the cut through it is 0.9km from the station to withdean, using public footpaths it is 1.2km.

Sad I know but something I had to research when we applied for permission to play at withdean to prove that fans would walk from the station. The distance by road is just .1km longer than hove station to the north stand turnstiles at the goldstone.

As 1km is 5 eights of a mile, 0.9km is as near as dam it half a mile.

The usual average walking speed is said to be about 3mph i.e 1 mile in 20 mins so unless my arithmetic is wrong to do 1/2 mile in 2 1/2 mins is not likely as that means walking at about 12mph.

correct - it would be the equivalent of a 5 min mile - even at running pace police officers only need to do a 6 minute mile to pass their fitness tests.

Working out the sprint time for the police tests here, its closer to 9... no wonder nearly everyone can outrun them :lolol:
