People have been saying Wigan and Reading were expected to beat us while Plymouth are in form. Others have said we haven't lost to anyone below third place yet.

The Preston home game is a must win. They are 17th and apparently playing very poorly at the moment. We are at Fortress Withdean with Knight back in the team...

If we win confidence will be restored ready for the Leicester away trip.

If we lose confidence will be at rock bottom.

A draw keeps us rock bottom but is better than nothing, we would still need our first win and I can't see us getting much at Leicester and Watford...

So Preston is a Must Win...

By the time we play Watford we could easily have gone 7 games without a win.

It's being so cheerful that keeps you going isn't it?

I will be happy to get through October without a change of manager.
Something we haven't achieved for the last 3 years.

Yes you're right. If Preston are as bad as people say they are then we should be able to beat them as we're not bad at Withdean...

I've been on a Preston messageboard and they want us to win as well, all they are interested in is getting rid of their manager.

what did you expect from us!just enjoy the ride!

we've scraped into this division, in my opinion , on team spirit .
whilst we remain at withdean we are goin nowhere. i think we should be grateful that we've had some excitement in the last few seasons, whether it be at the top , or bottom.
i get as frustrated as the next person, but whatever happens just enjoy it!

the next game is.... a must *** enjoy

our time WILL come

I'm trying to find some Preston messageboards and apart from Rivals and PrestonNorthend-mad.co.uk there aren't many around.

Be careful about registering on the official site of Preston Northend :lolol:

I registered to ask if they wanted to bid for a signed shirt in our REMF auction and kept getting emails, newsletters and all sorts of communications from them as if I was a died in the wool fan.

My emails asking to be taken off their mailing simply bounced so in the end I wrote by snail mail to tell them that despite all their attentions, I would remain a Brighton fan until I die. :lolol:

I agree that Preston is a must win now, and I think it's achievable.

Before that though is Bristol Rovers which too is a must win, and won't be easy as they have made a good start (3rd placed) and will be confident of getting a result. Going to Leicester with two wins behind us will be good as Leicester are not on the pace just yet.

I can't remember the year at the moment but we once went seveval weeks before we won our first game, a good few years ago.

It was in the same division that we are in now and it was a certain team called LEEDS United, that we beat. We went on to stay up that season, no problem.

A "must-win" situation? With 41 games to go? :jester:

I thought according to most posts on here that EVERY game is a must win and if we don't we are doomed anyway. The only game this season that will be a must win is when it will guarantee we stay up.With the intimidating atsmosphere of Withdean, Preston must be cacking themselves.

We went down by 4 points last time in the First Division didn't we. In the 12 games in a row we lost there were some must win games in there. I'm just a bit concerned we could be facing the same wall as last time to climb.

We're saying we must beat the teams who will be scrapping it out at the bottom, Preston is one of those teams. Gillingham is another must win game for that reason...
