Murphy did very well as did Baldock. But Murphy really shouldn't have tried that pass to Murray that lead to the goal. Shame.

Still, both deserve to start Tues.

Norwood didn't do a huge amount (I noticed he's particularly poor in the air compared to Kayal & Stephens but his ball to Bruno for the excellent first goal was superb.

Why Chris is a good manager, but some way short of being a great one. Totally predictable now, that when we are a goal up in the second half he subs, and sets the team up to preserve our lead, instead of increasing it. And inevitably seems to get caught out.
..but I still love him..

As far as I'm concerned, Murphy seems to have been overrated by almost everyone. He signed as a winger and in his first few games went past a fair few people. Now he never really tries to take anyone on. He did yesterday but only after he had given the ball away for the second goal and was trying to redeem himself.

He and us would probably fare better if they went back to the old days of only allowing either a goalkeeper sub or even no subs. That would save him the problem of deciding who or what to do.

In an ideal World quite true, however we will both remember, in days of yore, that when one of your team (or more) got crocked you ended up being numerically disadvantaged. And worse still, sadly the game has become so mercenary you might well find players targeted, and put out of the game through injury, without a replacement. I imagine Knocky might be a prime target.

Murphy bottled out of every tackle or challenge, the bloke is a joke. I cant remember anyone so light weight at this level of football.

He was instrumental in both goals we scored

'Inevitably' ? That is the first time this season when we have conceded in the last half hour and lost points. That is probably the disappointment. It was so unexpected.

Blimey...You must be a 'glass half full' person

First time I've done a player rating and glad you picked up on it. There are some complete a-holes on here trying to tear him apart. But of course, they are all managers, they know everything. When Hughton is sacked for losing 1 game in 12 we should just employ NSC as manager.

I also think the players and especially Bruno overly rely on Knockers. There were plenty of times that others were free and in better positions or a cross could go in and instead they tried to find him. He would then try and do too much, fall over and ask for a foul. He is a great player and I love him but we can take advantage of that by also bringing other players into the game meaning the opposition can't just double up on AK.

Very good point. A number of times in the first half particularly Bruno insisted on playing the more difficult pass to Knockaert when there were much better options available.

Where did I mention 'this season', have you been away for a while? He took a forward off and introduced a midfielder on numerous occasions last season. And we got caught out, trying to hang on instead of stretching them, by attacking. Next time we are back to the Alamo and a goal up he'll take off Murray, Hemed or a.n other and reinforce the defence, sit back and try and hold out.

Some very harsh judgments on Stockdale here.

"had 2 things to do and ****ed both up"?

He clearly shares responsibility with Bruno for the calamitous first goal, but quite how anyone can point the finger at the keeper for the second is frankly bizarre.
