The same Watford that comfortably beat promotion favourites Birmingham and the same Bristol side that put 4 past Cardiff...

The same Watford that got turned over at home by Bradford last night...

Anyway, by this logic we are better than Barcelona, being as we stuffed a full-strength Chelsea a few weeks ago.

Most palace fans in their late 40's(except the 700 or so who were at Withdean) had never seen a meaningful (yes there was one ZDS Cup or something in the 90"s) win at Brighton in their lifetime before last season.

They did scrape a fortunate win at Withdean one year. But hardly any of them turned up to see it, the away end was half empty so it didn't really matter.

I seem to remember you being equally as confident in the lead up to the Amex game last year. And look what happened. All this abuse from you lot will make that win when we meet even sweeter if it happens, so keep talking.

Quiet ironic also that there is a thread about last nights result seeeing as you were dumped out 3-0 with pretty much a full strength side by a team that played in League 2 last year. But how could i forgot, you're suddenly an amazing side after beating the footballing giants that are Barnsley, even though they had 12 players out. Silly me :glare:

I'll take us losing to your motley team with you being relegated.

Point of order: "promotion favourites Birmingham"? Are you sure? They are in financial meltdown and are desperately trying to offload their big earners and have been crap at the start of the season. They're another team who lost to a league one side last night.

Yep - thrashed you by 10 points last season - hoping for MORE this season though (it should've been more before rreally when you look at the difference in class between the squads)

10 th place well done. Nose bleeds and bunting all round.
Why do you care?Your clearly a JCL or a Manc living in Sussex , I may just add the gulf in class was not evident in the 2 games we played against you last year. Was it?
1 point from 6 says otherwise.

Sorry a bit off topic, but I cant let you get away with that!! Palace sold all the allocation given...then 2 days before the game we were give a extra 200? (on the Friday before the Sundays game) I managed to get 2 of them for myself and my son, but when I mentioned this to mates the next week none of them knew. So to say it was half empty is just not true.

Anyway on topic we were shocking last night and I see no improvement so far this season, for the first time since the early 80s I fear we may be more than just 10 points behind you at the end of the season, and we could start next year two leagues apart....and that makes me feel sick TBH. : )

Really?
Living in Hastings I know 2 Spurs and 1 Liverpool fan who are season ticket holders.
Silly me... And to the Grammar Police go get a life and get out your dictionary.

You see, this is really what I don't get.

These 3 pay to see the albion for the season.
I presume they want the albion to win when they watch them.
They may even be into their second season.

So to me they are home fans

Its better to have 12,000 fans, and watch your team going down the shitter then? Good luck with that buddy.

Well, somehow our average home attendance jumped massively from 2010/2011 to 2011/2012. Where the hell have all of these fans come from?

Let's ignore the fact Withdean held about 10 people, and insult Brighton for being able to attract new fans!

"LOL your fans are new and haha plastic!"

"But they all pay, putting money into the club and support the team"

"LOL plastic, those kids used to support Chelsea lol"

"Ahh, but now they support Brighton? I'm pretty pleased with that"

"Haha, our fans are better than yours because no plastic"

"Christ"

And you lost 3-2 to the mighty Hastings. JAT
