Whilst I get arguments for needing another CMF and Forward I don't get the CH. Yes we're thin now but aren't Elphick and El-Abd close to returning? I also heard that Cook has a lot going for him so not sure where another will fit in

I'd like to see us raid premier league clubs for a few loanees now that their season has started and everyone has a better idea of who is going to be used a lot and who isn't.

Also, Sol Campbell on a free assuming the wages aren't high could be an option? Past his best but still good enough for the championship I'd say

Cook did well in pre-season and Gus feels confident enough to have him on the bench.

Maybe I'm a glass half full type of person but I don't see that as him being satisfied with what we have?

I honestly don't think Gus is happy with our strength in depth. We're someway short of being the finished article, we desperately need an Centre Back to cover Dunk and Greer, before El-Abd and Elphick get back to full fitness. We also need a target man, someone who can win the ball in the air and play alongside CMS. I think we're ok in midfield, but maybe we need another ball winner. Three players by the end of August then I'll be extremely happy, if not then I'll be extremely worried.

It's likely to go to the wire . Jewell said post match last night that it's difficult as the Prem teams aren't releasing much not knowing who they're getting in - so likely a stampede in last 48 hours. Could be we've got our fellas lined up but can't complete given the unknowns
