just watched the whole thing on Seagulls player - sounds promising. highlights for those who don't have player:

Tony is back to Australia this afternoon

Tony says we are ahead of the game for the january transfer window and acknowledges we need to buy or loan some players esp in midfield

CH has watched the club loads and knows many of the players

his preferred formation is 4321 or 43 11 - acknowledged our style of play and does not want to change that but will maybe need to adapt it.

wants to try and keep Bent (as reported elsewhere)

otherwise he said all the right things - interestingly he was interviewed for 4/5 hours on xmas eve.

Thank you for this, but... the formation in bold is one player short!?

He said he generally played a 4-4-1-1 system and 4-2-3-1 system, and he wouldn't want to completely change what we've been doing for the last 5 years (which he sees as predominantly a 4-3-3 system). He says the style we've been playing has been more expansive football than he usually employs, but he wants to get the right balance - winning football, and football that the fans enjoy.

Sounds encouraging. I'm sure he'll want to throw-off some of the Norwich fan's 'boring' tag but, TBH, I couldn't give a flying ****, as long as he moves us to safety this season. We can then get more cavalier next season, if required.

and CH said this about Nathan Jones

“Nathan Jones will very much be part of my first-team coaching staff and he has done a fantastic job here. I’m particularly grateful for the last two results and as somebody from the outside with a keen interest looking in, I was hoping that the last two results would fare well and he’s done very well.

“I have a lot of respect for him as an individual and also as a coach, so I’m delighted to have him on board.

Its like one of those press conferences on Football Manager where you just select the obvious answer from the options given.

What a great image - real life managers don't get any more choice on what they say than us wannabe managers. You can just imagine PB showing Chris the menu and asking him to choose.
"Ah, the 'big club with great support' - excellent choice sir. May I also recommend the 'Fantastic setup'."

It was a well managed press conference that he is obviously used to as he said a lot but revealed nothing other than he would consider bringing Bent back but very non plus on the possibility of Elliott returning.
