prescott at falmer

Surely a misquote here "I know from seeing the KC built in Hull how it can transform a city, bring in investment and foster a fantastic community spirit. That's why I'm delighted to see Brighton will reap the same benefits from Falmer."

he's only seen the KFC in Hull

Prescott is a twat.

Bollocks. I know someone who used to work for him and he says he's a top bloke. JP says what he thinks and that has got him into to trouble in the past. And let's not forget the great quotes - my favourite: Following a bad flight - greeting some journos at the airport with:

"It's great to be back on terra cotta".

This is the class warrior who now wants a peerage?

I farted in his office once. I know, juvenile, but it was worth it - got past four layers of security whilst my Boss was busy in Admiralty House in London and dropped a nasty one that I had been saving up. Would have been better if he was there, but as I left his office one of the staff was going in so I hope he got the report back. That's if they noticed the smell.

Was it an Eggy one or did it smell of the meal/booze you had the night before Hampsy?

It was a bit of a Indian one from the night before - I was on a driving job so no booze involved unfortunately. I had only just gone back to farting with confidence having had a nasty stomach bug as well, so it was doubly satisfying. Not sure what I would have done had I shit myself in there to be honest - wasn't really crossing my mind at the time.

What does TCS stand for on his hardhat?

The Community Stadium.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the stadium will be owned by 'The Community Stadium Ltd', which has exactly the same shareholders as the club but is technically a separate company.

prescott's updated his blog about today:

"Back on the Prescott Express again - and we're getting plenty of media bids to come on board. Thought the offer of Will Self from the Today programme was a joke. Amazed when they said it was true.

But space is tight so we've had to politely decline. That and the fact we don't have a toilet on board.

Today the Prescott Express visited the new £90m Falmer Stadium which will be the home for Brighton and Hove Albion from August 2011. I originally gave planning permission after a great campaign by the Seagulls to persuade me. It was never nasty - always humorous - with the fans even sending flowers to Pauline and me on Valentines Day.

Martin Perry, the club's brilliant Chief Executive, said fans come down at the weekend just to gaze at the site. One man brings his own step ladder.

The Lib Dems bitterely opposed it, chief amongst them 'Smilin' Norman Baker. I see he's grudgingly admitted defeat and wished the fans the best.

I know from seeing the KC built in Hull how it can transform a city, bring in investment and foster a fantastic community spirit. That's why I'm delighted to see Brighton will reap the same benefits from Falmer.

But it made me think. Under Cameron's DIY government proposals, nimbys like Norman would have a much greater say and would have been able to stop this application stone dead right at the start.

Another good reason to keep Cameron out.

Finally, here's a little vlog with me and our excellent PPCs, Simon Burgess (Brighton Kemptown) Nancy Platts (Brighton Pavillion) and Celia Barlow (Brighton and Hove.)"

LOLZ at the nodding woman whoever she is...

Staggering :lolol:. Yep David Cameron would have stopped Falmer, Maybe Thatcher would have chipped in as well, don't forget her :lolol::facepalm:

How can you not warm to JP? OK, he's got his faults, but compared to the 649 other MPs he's brilliant. I'd love him to be guest of honour (again) when we play Hull (surely only a couple of years away) - I'm sure he'd get a great reception.

And I wonder what he would have said if he knew that the man with the stepladder is known as JACK STRAW
