That has covered my Poker win/loss the other night.*

I put £4K into PBs for a little over a month a year or so back as a safe haven for for my tax bill - ended up winning £1K, and 2x £50

which was nice


effective yield is a touch meagre compared to the likes of ING-direct but they do have their place

Got about €200 in the Irish Prize Bonds. Never won anything. Probably going to put them in to something that actually pays interest, particularly as the state want to wind up the scheme - its been cheaper to borrow from banks than the general population for years now and when they're running a budget surplus every year, theres even less point...

If you win a prize they automatically send it to you through the post so no need to check up on them really, although if you win the big one someone will come knocking!! You can check up on Ceefax as well I think on BBC 2.

I started a syndicate at work last year, almost up to £1,000 in total so "should" start winning soon, in theory as their rate is about 4% I think

Myself and a bunch of mates do pub quizzes and put all our winnings into Premium Bonds. Got £800 worth since Jan 2005. Hoping to win something soon.

Have had many £50 cheques and one £100 one but nothing more than that - so will be expecting the top prize next month, it must be my turn surely.

My girlfriend normally wins £50 once or twice a year - twice this year all ready. She does have about £5000 worth though - she prefers them to a savings account.

I have in the back of my mind that there is a reason why you can't have PBs for syndicates - I can't remember exactly why though. Perhaps something to do with them having to be in an individuals persons name and are not transferable. I may be wrong of course - that's never a surprise !
