Bingo, thank you for making my point.

It’s indirect, but that’s where it originate from.

Wtf is anyone is arguing this point?

In post #32 your point, in effect, was that TB was gaining from the poor and stupid through his gaming enterprise.

Posters then explained/corrected you on his business model, which side of the punter-bookie relationship he lies, and his type of clientele.

Instead of humbly accepting your error, you've desperately (and in vain) tried to widen the debate to the funds must ultimately have come from the poor and vulnerable.

Full marks for trying.

Clearly you are incapable of basic comprehension.

If you are incapable of understanding money flow, then it’s not me that’s pathetic.
Its you not understanding. Sometimes when the fun stops people stop. Not all gamblers are hopeless addicts even the ones that loose.

Get back in the hole. All this indignancy about betting companies is somewhat hypocritical. I never said how he makes his money now, the fact is he had exactly the same sort of company. He made money from that company and no doubt some of that money went into funding BHA. To try and takes the upper hand here shows a level of delusion that only someone stupid......actually I forgot whom I was interacting with.
You really are a rude, unintelligent dick. And yes, I would say that to your face. Please **** off.

So where does the gambling money that Ladbroke’s et al lose come from?

It’s not a difficult point to understand if you weren’t blinded by the fact that I support a different team. Jeez, I’ve posted about my admiration for what appears to be his unique ability to understand how to maximise statistics for both football and gambling. An ability that I am genuinely in total admiration of.

But you bang on that gambling isn’t based on the money put into the system by those on the very bottom rung of the ladder. It says way more about you than me.

Rude, coming from someone who calls people mongs, pikeys, c***s etc. Unintelligent, you are wrong there as well but if that helps your self esteem then so be it.
Oh and I bet you would not.

Not posting that often on tedious Palace-Brighton threads, I genuinely, until someone indicated it a few posts back, know that you supported another club.

You've been repeatedly told that TB's clients are wealthy individuals. You have no idea how they made their money, or whether they rode on the backs of the poor.

From People who enjoy a flutter and who don't always do it to win.Think about what your saying. It we follow then you should be saying Steve Browett has mad money the same way because alcoholics buy wine aswell, yet I bet you don't see it that way.

The point was not where TB's clients' money comes from but where the betting companies' money comes from. And that has to be the punters.

Thats where all businesses get their money from not just gambling companies.

Indeed. And some aren't too fussy about exploiting punters' weaknesses and vulnerabilities - payday loan companies, banks, credit card companies, hedge funds That's business for you. Life's tough.

I see palace goons have derailed this. Thought there was rules they are not allowed to post unless it’s a Nigel thread.

Absolutely. Palace fans do this all the time. They say because he made money from Premierbet and Tribecca tables etc he is one of those people who are exploiting punters weaknesses and vulnerabilities. They do it all the time on the BBS.

It could be worse.

We'd never heard of our sponsor till it appeared on the shirts and it was'nt till after Christmas we worked out it was'nt a Chinese sports equipment manufacturer.

Bring back good old Yorkshire Building Society!

Starlizard makes it money from charging clients fees for gaining access to sharper football odds, gleaned from their modelling. Subsequent betting is between those clients and bookies.

No one here would know the composition of those international bookies income streams. The rich and intelligent are often huge net losers in gambling, they can afford it, some lose their fortune doing so.

There are no firm grounds to state that TB is ultimately gaining from the poor and unintelligent.

That’s the easy way out.....might as well let them continue to make arses of themselves.

True. Mildly frustrating when a thread which could have become an interesting discussion on the place and ethics of gambling in football becomes waylaid by the multi-thumbed inbreds and their inability to understand, well, anything.

I can't speak for others, but the way I see it there is something quite particular about putting a companies name on your shirt. It is at the very least a tacit endorsement of the brand, and in turn the industry. It shouldn't be surprising that people are uncomfortable with the idea that their football club, often wanting to be family and community oriented, appealing to people of all ages including children, might give an endorsement, in exchange for money, to an industry which is age restricted and comes with the caveat "use responsibly".

You don't have to be opposed to betting in principle to be uncomfortable with betting companies advertising on your local teams football shirt, any more that you have to be opposed to drinking or smoking to not want those sponsors on your teams football shirts either.

I am very much opposed to betting companies being able to advertise period. Let alone being able to advertise in avenues that may or may not influence youngsters into betting. I am very much opposed to Palace having a betting company as a sponsor, but I cannot do anything about it.
I just had to laugh at the hypocrisy of people mentioning about gambling companies when your beloved leader has made millions out of it. Those millions would have come from poor sods losing it.
