"We now need to stress that anyone who can’t work from home, for instance those in construction or manufacturing, should be actively encouraged to go to work.

"And we want it to be safe for you to get to work. So you should avoid public transport if at all possible – because we must and will maintain social distancing, and capacity will therefore be limited.

"So work from home if you can, but you should go to work if you can’t work from home.

"And to ensure you are safe at work we have been working to establish new guidance for employers to make workplaces COVID-secure.

So not professional sports then.

Prem/FL plan to finish season behind closed doors in JULY

is that not 'work' for those involved?

The guidance for employers mandates safe working distance, things like perspex panels between work stations. Split shifts, gloves & face masks, anti bac hand gel readily available.

Speak to someone like Bower & Wilkins or Rolls Royce in Sussex and see how they’re modifying working conditions already based on guidance they’ve had.

Not compatible with sport

Just been looking at Twitter and it appears the vast majority of people tweeting agree that 'Project Restart' is finished under the guidance issued from Johnson.

Didn't really have an opinion on nulling and voiding the season until today, but am now strongly in the pro camp after seeing some of the shit Leeds, Liverpool and Sheff Utd fans have been spouting on Twitter. Not like the former two to be ignorant, '**** everyone but us' types at all.

Leeds fans won't like the idea of Neutral venues either.

So we can play with one player then?

This gives Newcastle an unfair advantage as they can use the longstaff brothers.
They now have twice as many players they can use than the rest of us

Professional sport could potentially fall under the 'if you cant work from home, you must go to work' line though. Also if PL can prove all the stuff regarding safety and testing they may get a pass. Suspect we'll know more when the finer details of the new plan thing come out.

The legal issues around safety will be where big question marks will be.
