Perfect night for Smug. Even got the chance to f***ing cheat. Pope should have been booked for time wasting. Refs need to call it out

Most fans in the league will say that, because they are remembering the burst into the scene Ferguson not the current version which is at least half the player
Yeah this. It's sad what's happened to Ferguson, but I'm delighted West Ham are inferior and thick enough to act as our fluffers by attempting to get him back on song for us.

Witnessed one of the best goals I have ever seen in the Scottish Cup quarter-final by St.Johnstone's Graham Carey. Struck from 40 yards out with a left foot rocket. 🚀

Take a bow, son. Take a bow.

That really was a desperately poor game, Newcastle were no great shakes either but West Ham were dreadful.

Concerned about Ferguson. Barely had a touch, didn’t look too interested.

Hammers are now 16 points above relegation, but 13 points below a European spot. Potter needs to face it - the West Ham players are already on the beach, and it's still early March.

Ferguson should have gone to Celtic in the window - total no-brainer. They sold Furuhashi to Rennes and didn't get anyone else in. This move was always going to go tits up.

Yep. Next season already looks like make or break for his career. His loan next year needs to be either a Celtic type team cruising a league or a team towards top of the championship (maybe Ipswich when Delap goes?)

Just anywhere he will have 3 big chances a game and hopefully find the net. If not, it’s a similar path to Connolly

If that was a possibility then I don't understand why he didn't go there. He needs goals against pub team players to rebuild his confidence. He could've banged in 12-13 goals, and then the world could've discussed whether Scottish football is shit or whether Ferguson is the real deal. And it wouldn't have mattered, because the lad just needs to find the net regularly somewhere!

Celtic doesn't need a loan striker.

I’m not worried about his attitude, I think the lad is interested and wants it. But ability and fitness wise he’s miles off it and hasn’t looked like a Premier League player for 18 months.

If we can get anything around £10m or so for him in the summer, we need to bite the hand off whoever offers it.

Hate to say it but I honestly think he peaked in 2022/2023 and I’ll be pleasantly surprised if he ever proves himself as a PL striker again. The drop off has been astonishing, there’s something massively missing now and has been for a while - he looks lost, completely out of his depth.

I think the only way back for him is to forget his ego and take a move to the lower leagues in the summer. Adapt his game and learn how to play that way at a lower level and gain some confidence getting goals at that standard. Maybe one day he can then come back as a Murray type striker at a later age.

Would love to be proven wrong and someone quite this post to me at some point in the near future but I can’t see it happening.
