While that is true, surely the fate of Brighton is more important than whatever happens to Crystal Palace? Would you really pick finishing 10th, with Palace on 11th, than the scenario you posted? Is it worth missing out on playing against Real Madrid just because it means finishing a position below Palace? Naaah.

Different discussion if they were above Liverpool.
