In the same way it would have been nice for Arsenal to lose today, do we really want Man U to be catchable for Spurs? May motivate them.

Really surprising how from 210 minutes against Man Utd we didn’t score from open play

Newcastle are still catchable. They've got to go to Leeds under Alladyce, play us and Chelsea away who might have kick started their season end yesterday. The one they might win could only be Leicester. It would still be momentous for us but we're surely going for it until we can't.

Spurs need two wins and a draw just to get to what United have now from their last 3 games. They aren’t catching Utd. However Man Utd losing will give Liverpool hope and considering Liverpool have Villa that could be a bonus for us.

I always worry when we play City and Arsenal were good against us (and met us at the best time, but still have to play us at home). United and Newcastle are good teams but certainly no better than us as the last 3.5 hours against United have proven.

And I really think Spurs, Liverpool and Villa are some way behind us this season, and particularly in 2023

So, if we made the Champions league, it may be unrealistic but certainly not underserved ?

It will be nothing short of a travesty if Spurs make Europa ahead of us.

???

If they are catchable for Spurs, they are catchable for us.

Annoyingly their remaining games after tonight are against Wolves, Bournemouth, Chelsea & Fulham - nobody with anything to play for. They will stroll to the points they need to confirm top 4. Might have been different if we had the three points from Spurs, the two from Palace, the two from Leicester and the one from Villa, but then we wouldn''t have all those lovely apologies that make us the envy of the league.

Definite penalty by the way. He did it deliberately.
