Sky - but usually a cover up for our game and he’ll make a ‘shock return’:

‘Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson admits he does not know how long Wilfried Zaha will be out for after joining a long list of injured players with a hamstring issue.‘

He’ll be back for us.

Our game could well be a bit optimistic for him, though.

They may try and rush him back but then they could be looking at him limping off at half time and being out until Easter.

He is going by the last few interviews I’ve seen him give. Articulate, self-deprecating and humorous.

Anyone can turn on the charm in an interview.

But the video shows the real Bamford caught in the moment - a cowardly little cheat fixed on faking a punch to the face, so he can get a fellow pro sent off. Pathetic.

All the interviews I’ve seen with him have appeared very genuine. Refreshing and open compared to most other players.

He’s probably not far off an England call-up so hopefully that embarrassing incident was a one off and he’s learnt from it.

There is absolutely no way he is anywhere NEAR England standard. He's had a semi-decent 6 months in a weird season, but the guy is 27 now, and has been shit for pretty much all of it.

If we go into the Euros with Bamford leading the line then I'm taking up crocheting, and will spend the entire tournament weaving a blanket that says "DEATH TO SOUTHGATE"

I don’t think he is either but I would not be surprised if he ends up in a squad. He’s an English striker scoring goals who isn’t a sick note. Southgate’s already picked one player from Leeds who isn’t exactly international class so don’t rule it out. Unfortunately.

Yep. He plays for one of the clubs that deserve England International players, therefore he'll be selected

Hang on a second. Aren’t Leeds supposed to run out of steam and become a bit shit when they have to play games one after the other?

I'd take the word "unfortunately" out of that sentence myself.Much as I dislike Leeds United, mainly because of their disgusting,homophobic,knuckle-dragging fans and distant memories of Revie's 60's/70's teams of thugs, you'd have to accept that Bamford IS a goal scorer. He has made the transition to Premier League level and,If he was our player,we'd rightly be clamouring for his inclusion in the England squad. The only possiblke reason he may not be included is because he scored against "Waistcoat's" Palace.

Ah ok,

So an ethical shout out to his sponsors.
Both commendable and deplorable in equal measures, by the sound of it.

I like Bamford, think he's a very decent player and a good shout for England. Think people are being very unfair to say he's average and not good enough.

12 goals so far with 16 games to go in the league is an excellent return and scoring goals is only part of his game, he's an excellent all round forward who brings other players into the game. And he wouldn't be the first striker in recent years to mature and reach the top level at a later age - Jamie Vardy was 27 when he made his Premier League debut and Glenn Murray didn't score double figures in the premier League until he was 33.

What is also good about last night is the Palace fans don't like him at all after his loan spell there so that would have hurt.

It was interesting to hear the commentators pointing out Eze's lack of tracking back to help defend. He's getting plenty of rave reviews for his exciting attacking play but seems to go MIA when his side are under the pump.

Nothing like a bit of Leeds hyperbole in the morning, from the comments on the Guardian match report:

We're witnessing something unprecedented, historic, epic, and it may not happen again in the foreseeable future - El Loco found most of these blokes mid-table in the Championship, and look how they play against established Premier League teams!
