If Man United had to keep this squad and this manager for the whole season they would be in the relegation battle.

Obviously they’ll sack Solskjaer and bring in someone competent before spending in January and will finish around 8th or 9th, but right now they’re bottom six material. Please, please, please let him still be there on 10th November.

The same with Everton I think. On their main forum they’re already mentioning not looking forward to playing us. Desperate for Silva to go.

El Presidente’s ironic/sarcastic delivery of damning facts, knows no bounds. He is THE football industry reference point.

As lovely as this weekend has been we are still just two points outside the relegation zone. Suspect that's representative of the table this year. For the first time in years I suspect that 40 points might actually represent the safety target. It doesn't feel as though there are many teams that can't challenge on their day. I suspect we'll be fine but I also don't think we'll ever get to the point where we look to be especially comfortable.

Amusingly, Man Utd could genuinely find themselves scrapping it out with the lower orders.

Potter is so much better than Solskaer. Right now we're a better team than Man Utd. Think about that for a moment.

I think Skolsjaer will be out on his ear either during this international break or, when they get thumped by Liverpool first match afterwards.
