As I said, maybe it came across that way but it really wasn't meant as a dig - just observation/comparison on how full it was despite insane amount of injury time and on a Monday night. Fully aware of the issues at the Amex getting away from the stadium, and that for many football isn't the be all and end all! Shame though that it happens to such an extent sometimes.

Ange is a genius. He accepts two decisions that were not even close to debatable after two very debatable calls went his way and he says you have to respect ref decisions. Media lap it up.

No idea. But he's no saint. His post-match reaction was in stark contrast to other losing managers recently. Which is good to see.

Agreed. Emotions are high during a game, and overstepping the mark occasionally, is to be expected, if not applauded.

In the relative calm of the post-match interviews managers should be expected to be far more measured in their choice of words - and comments at this point are going to rightly be closely scrutinised by the authorities.

Statements from clubs attacking the officialdom are a whole new level, again.

Just catching up with this properly and it strikes me on Chelsea’s second goal what a joke the offside law has become. Sure, Sterling is onside when the ball is played through to him - but the scorer Jackson is way beyond the last defender at that point. That means he’s got several yards start as he sprints towards goal - EXACTLY what the offside law is meant to prevent. Nobody has a hope of catching him to prevent an unchallenged easy finish.

So much simpler when a player bang in the middle like that was automatically deemed to be interfering with play (because they are!) and the flag would have gone up straight away.
