Bad news for Gordon if that's a broken nose: could really spoil his good looks.

Spurs whining about injuries (of which they admittedly do have a lot) and then starting Son, Bissouma and Maddison on the bench

That's unusually unkind of you
You're right, even as I hit enter, I decided it was a bit mean. I apologise to Anthony Gordon.

Who, as it happens, is one of those I've really changed my mind about in recent years. Seems like quite an interesting guy to listen to, which isn't the case for many footballers, is it?

Spurs are a bit of a nothing side, aren't they? We can call them "Spursy" but maybe the reason they don't beat supposedly lesser sides is not because they're moody but because they're just not very good. When your best defender is Cristian Romero, you have an issue. Van de Van is lightning quick but not great at defending. The full backs have been rubbish for years. Their star midfielder is Maddison, who is wildly inconsistent, and the rest of the midfield are just injury prone or not good enough. Son & Solanke are fine, but it's no good having decent strikers if you can't get them decent service and defend when the opposition has it.

So maybe we need to stop thinking of them as a good side who are a bit fragile and instead accept them for what they are, which is a big club with a pretty ordinary squad who are exactly where they deserve to be.

Forgive me but I must disagree. Poor full backs! I would take Pedro Porro and Djed Spence in a heartbeat but each to their own. The rest I agree with. :D
