Yes, the LAW needs changing, not VAR. Offside should be determined by feet position only, and unless there is clear evidence he is offside (determinable by only ONE slow mo replay, not replayed multiple times) then the benefit goes to the attacker.

I'm fairly sure we'd then see about two VAR offside controversies a season.

I think it was Souness? who made what seemed like the most sensible solution to the ridiculous offside rule we have now where a toenail can cancel a goal.

He said that rather than if any part of the body is offside by a millimeter it being ruled offside (present rule), change it to if any part of the body is onside it counts as onside..... so even if you were half a metre ahead of the last defender, as long as one trailing boot was still onside, the goal stands.

Would stop all these stupid goal cancelling decisions

No it wouldn't it would just move the line.
If anything it would be more problematic as the line would now be in a more congested area.

I believe Italy doesn't have the problems we have, in fact I don't think any other country has the problems we have, by virtue of the fact no other country is getting a microscope out when confronted by every single decision.

VAR wouldn't be half the problem it is if those at Stockley Park were drinking Horlicks instead of mainlining Red Bull.

Night of the Westies, tonight please.

West Brom, West Ham double would be nice.

Polish off a near perfect weekend.

Correct.
Nothing wrong with VAR it is how we are implementing it.
Flecks GBH with intent is not a VAR problem it was the idiot at Stockley Park who did not tell the ref to have another look, yet the same person did for that innoculous cleareance of the ball last week and he got sent off and it was recinded.
Its barmy.

Just seen the Fleck challenge. Wow! Just... wow! Takes a moment. Looks down. Stamps on head. Incredible. Balls to a red card. That could be a legitimate assault charge.

Also, can we afford Bale’s wages? I’ve a fiver.

Bissouma's accidental high challenge was given as a red and tbh I had no complaints.
How can anyone look at the replay of the Fleck challenge and not give a red card?

Ludicrous.

Fantastic how disciplined footballers are today. Maybe required to reach that level. If I were a teammate of Lo Celso in that situation I would lose my shit and put John Fleck in a wheelchair.

Sidwell vs Kermorcunt comes to mind.

Quite a few Spurs fans on Twitter were asking for someone to come on and do that................

Call me ultra cautious, but the sooner we are mathematically out of West Brom's reach the better. On that basis, I am hoping for a Wolves win. Maybe a draw wouldn't be too bad!

Securing safety asap is the main priority agreed, yes it may be nice to try and finish above some of these teams but ultimately as soon as we are mathematically safe we can start taking a look at a few 'fringe' players. Jahanbakhsh, Caicedo, Karbownik etc, particularly Caicedo if Bissouma is off in the summer. It would be a nice position to be in as opposed to looking over our shoulder which we might have been if the results had been different this weekend!
