Just heard Spurs up to today have only played 38 games this season. It really is only those in European competitions play a lot and that is only because too many clubs are competing in these

They'll have European football next year so they can start using the too many games excuse for poor performances

That West Ham game actually was what lots of fans here have alleged about our recent performances. Namely the gaffer is leaving, let’s phone it in and get on the beach.

Moyes is basically gone for Lopetegui, everyone knows it, and the players by all accounts went through the motions.

Why exactly is this Liverpool Spurs game on the TV this weekend, and in the prime weekend slot at that? Liverpool are basically nailed on to finish third come what May. Spurs 5th or 6th. Surely Newcastle Burnley or Sheffield United vs Forest were more important games this weekend?

Liverpool were still in the title race and Tottenham were a lot closer to 4th when this round of TV fixtures were announced

It’s not about “important” games but games that will bring in the plastics in their living rooms. Liverpool has to be one of the top draws for that crowd.

On to tonight.

A draw is no good to either of them so I will be hoping for a dirty 0-0.
