I'm intrigued. Why was Potter at Sheffield? Can't be to do with Palace as they don't play Sheffield again this season and don't play Villa until the last game, so is Emery off?
Maybe?

Potter just showing his face around to stay relevant I suspect.
In a shocking development, a football industry professional watched a professional football match.

He wanted to eat a sandwich in front of a Premier League manager. And enjoy it.

With the resurgence of Everton and Luton, Palace could be descending into a season defining relegation dogfight.

Who do we want to win today - Man U or WHU?

A win by WHU will put them on 39 points to our 35 and make them much harder to catch up - a win by Man U will shove us into 8th place - a draw will still shove us into 8th place so I’m thinking I will take a Man U win and take 8th place but still be in a realistic race for a 6th place finish. It‘s a tough one.
One of those situations were any result is decent, even a West Ham win won't put them too far ahead, but yeah preference is probably a draw followed narrowly by a Man U win.

Not sure if this is a serious question, or making a point about the people assuming he was on his way to palace after he showed up at their game. If it's the former, one of the sports journos (I think Henry Winter) highlighted when Potter showed up at Palace, that he had also been to a southampton game the week before, that he is just going to games because he likes football.
I am just genuinely intrigued as to why he would pick that match (the rest was idle speculation).

If Lallana does retire at the end of the season we could do worse than picking up Barkley to replace him. He's playing extremely well, strong, two footed, versatile across 6/8/10 and still quick enough. Obviously depends on what he brings outside of the pitch as well. Expect a few will be after him at the end of the season.

I’m not pissed or anything, but got a big smile on my face. Albion crushing the Palarse yesterday, now back to back Premier League games on the telly, Football Manager on the laptop, and a huge mug of tea. And maybe even a couple of chocolate hobnobs! I’m becoming an old man but this is absolute heaven.

Imagine if he’d been at the Amex yesterday as well…
