Spurs fans, even in phone ins over the last fortnight, are confidently predicting trophies to flow “Because Mourinho’s a serial trophy winner, at every club he’s ever managed”.

Crikey he’s got work cut out this time.

He’s bought a lot of trophies can’t now as Spurs won’t spend the money

This City v Liverpool game is bad news for Villa. You’d think Klipperty won’t be happy, and will demand that Liverpool destroy Villa at the weekend. If they have lifted their foot up, he’ll make sure they put it back down.

Could be bad news for us too.

We'll be fine as long as we pick up points from our winnable games. Little to no chance of getting anything from Liverpool anyway (would be nice if we put up a bit more of a fight than v United, though), which is much worse for Villa at this point in time, esp as they have them next up after tonight as you say.

Often a lot of over the top hype about young English players but Greenwood, Sancho and (in particular) Foden are seriously talented.

Sky’s coverage is getting more and more American, so many adverts. Surprised they don’t squeeze in some adverts during the drinks break.

"Man City sending a message to Liverpool"

Yeah, 'if you dare to win the premier league at a canter, we will totally beat you in a meaningless match after the title is sewn up'

The one that gets me is when they go for a break, then pretty much tell the viewers that coming up is the first/second half spiel, then go for another break

At least there’s no plastic Man City fans down this way yet. Worth them winning it just to stop the plastic scousers coming out again, of which there appears to be an endless supply.

You must be joking. Loads of the younger generation now 'support' Man City. Maybe you have no contact with them but believe me, they are out there.

Yes, primary age kids. I don’t have an issue with them, they have a chance to grow out of it. Grown adults is a completely different matter. You only have to walk into a pub in Brighton on a Liverpool match day and you’ll find plenty of plastic scousers. Never seen it with plastic Man City fans.
