Because human error can be argued. With VAR, saying its tight is subjective, so on field decision stands will be very easy to sue.How many times has that happened pre VAR?

Feck knows if it would have been considered equally dignified and respectful if it was another club than Liverpool though?I’m quite different. You have to start by accepting that many of our favourite players have always moved on and will continue to do so. Given that, an important thing for me is HOW they move on. Mac was dignified and respectful. Contrast with Trossard, Caicedo, Cucurella et al. I loved Caicedo in particular at Albion so his tantrum and departure for, of all places, Chelsea, left me distraught. I hate seeing him in that kit. Ali Mac I feel a sort of pride in, like a beaming parent watching their son go up to collect the big prize.
As for complacency, we’re only a couple more defeats aware from scrapping for places with Palace and Everton so not that. I’m not worried about relegation at all, but as RDZ suggested, it’s okay to raise our expectations and demand more.

By November everyone knew that Mac would play for Liverpool next season, meaning he (and especially his dad who popped up with the directors at Pool games) probably spent time negotiating a deal with them while in the middle of our season... I'm not sure that would have been equally popular if Carlos Mac A would have been watching games at the Etihad or Emirates. Nevermind fecking Stamford Bridge. While his excellent professionalism and football is the biggest factor in him being kindly remember, I also think there's a pretty huge "Liverpool discount" in the feelings towards him.
