Have I just never noticed it before, or has there been a recent increase in using 'cityzens' as a nickname for Man City? I saw it a few weeks ago and had to look it up to see it was a genuine nickname, but over the last couple of weeks it seems to be everywhere. I've always seen them referred to simply as 'City' or 'the (manchester) blues'.

The nickname "Citizens" is certainly not new - this cigarette card dates from 1933:-



However, I think the "Cityzens" version is a relatively new thing.

Anyway I agree, I thought Mings was ok (not much more) in their first season up but its been going downhill since.

If Southgate necessarily wants a left foot in his central defense he should just go for Burn (I mean this 100% seriously).
