In a thread last year there was some discussion about teams at the bottom catching teams higher up at roughly a point a game. That is, if there were more points than games left between us and other teams - then we would pretty much be safe. If we took that principle again (and it's a pretty reasonable one), then Huddersfield are already going to finish below us, and draw with Fulham next match up, then there's only one more team to pull ahead of!

Hmm. They spent a fortune after promotion so depending on how sensible they were with contracts they could be in some serious bother if/when they go down.

Probably not in a position to play hardball on transfer fees in any case.

I'm not advocating a £30m bid btw. Just saying.

True, but the chairman seems the sensible type.

Plus the players brought in would be easy to sell.
