Apart from Brentford not winning, and Liverpool not getting a third, that was about the worst possible set of results for us today. :(

Villa losing - good for us
Chelsea losing - good for us
Newcastle losing - good for us
Leeds losing - good for everyone
Villa losing - not a concern for us
Chelsea losing - not a concern for us
Newcastle losing - not in range
Leeds losing - so what?

I'm only concerned with our rivals in close proximity - and they all got points except us.

The main thing is we lost. Can’t worry too much about those around us if we can’t put away Palace or Fulham.

We could do with a fluky win against the run of play - and be on the right side of a referee’s poor performance for once.

Had we beat Fulham, it would have been a fantastic set of results in my opinion.

Sadly, we didn't.

You said apart from, so who were you talking about beyond Liverpool and Brentford?

I agreed with you if there was about 2 games of the season left but with nearly half the season to go then most teams are a concern for us or "in range" . IMO

It’s a crock of shit . That is 100 per cent a red card and because it’s a Manchester Utd player and it’s Old Trafford the VAR has bottled it yet again
It’s getting beyond a joke how the premier league refs bend over for Liverpool , Manchester Utd and City and Spurs and Chelsea it’s corrupt

True, on a season long basis - but I generally go on the 'one-game-at-a-time' model. Next game we could have been knocking on the door of 5th. lace, within kicking distance of 4th. Sadly not to be (mainly due to us not winning, I know!)

Newcastle are definitely in range. I’m hopeful of overtaking them in the table.

Man United at home escape another decision, that should have been a red for Sabitzer, horrible studs into the side of the knee, VAR says no.

Then predicatably a soft yellow for Mendy in a challenge that is so much tamer than that.

An Albion player makes a tackle like Sabitzer just made, nailed on yellow
