goal wasn't ruled out because the handball by Salah was judged to be non-deliberate, which I agree with. non-deliberate handballs by players other than the goalscorer are no longer being penalised this season by VAR.

It wasn’t the same that’s why. If Salah had put the ball in immediately after handling then it would have been disallowed.

That rule has now changed, the incident informs me: it's only if the goalscorer handles it whereas, so long as it's unintentional, it doesn't apply to those involved in the build-up play.
