Why are we not using this midweek to play our game in hand vs Bournemouth? As good a time as any and gets the game out the way
It's curious, isn't it?

After these games, only Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds and us will be on 18 games, whilst Fulham and Spurs will be on 20.

Neither of our missed fixtures are against the other sides on 18 games, so the way fixtures have been scheduled feels a bit wonky.

We won't catch Man Utd come what may, so let them smash Palace

We could catch Spurs, so City in that one

I'm guessing that bloom may have an algorithm to work out when the optimum time to play the games are.

Those into Fantasy Premier League may have heard of Ben Crellin - he spends a massive amount of time looking at fixtures and predicting when teams may have blank/double gameweeks. Often calls the schedule changes accurately and also looks at outcomes of various fixtures and what impact that could have.

His spreadsheet is saying mid-week at end of Feb for either Bournemouth or Palace re-arranged fixture (subject to our FA Cup progression).

We're three points behind with a game in hand and currently equal goal difference. All in our power to catch them regardless of result. They win, they're 6 points ahead and we hav two games in hand. Obviously a loss is preferable as it makes it an easier tally to overhaul, but we're in a great position right now with regard to Spurs. (obviously, still a lot of football to be played this season).

and we still have Spurs to play so that could be another 3 points on them

There’s absolutely no chance Tottenham will come above Brighton, so you can stop worrying about that scenario. Would not see Spurs as a threat whatsoever.

Next 4 games: Man City (a), Fulham (a), Man City (h), Leicester (a), which is 1 point, maybe 2 points maximum, by which point we’ll be 10th.

This game is the re-arranged fixture from the Queens passing hence playing City twice in 3 games.

If you’re into the odd flutter, Man City -2 @ 3/1 is absolutely huge.
