Worthing
Is there an 'interfering with play' type rule in these kind of decisions? The Hughes foul has nothing to do with Eze's shot and goal. Would the goal have been disallowed if Palaces goalie at the other end of the pitch had pushed someone over?
The shot went in off the post.
Had it rebounded into play off the post the foul by Hughes’s could have been crucial in Brentford conceding. The ref , when he blew the whistle had no way of knowing whether it would hit the post and go in, or rebound. As it was a foul by the Palace player, it was a correct decision.

IMO, and the referees obviously.

Things a bit naff in the Golden Halls

What a shambles Chelsea are::

Raheem Sterling's representatives have released a statement about him being left out of Chelsea's matchday squad today - in an unusual twist.
"Raheem Sterling is contracted to Chelsea Football Club for the next three years," it reads.
"He returned to England two weeks early to conduct individual training, and has had a positive pre-season under the new coach, who he has developed a good working relationship with.
"He is committed, as ever, to delivering at the highest level for Chelsea FC and the fans, who he holds in high regard, and given his inclusion in official club pre-match material this week, our expectation was that Raheem would be involved in this weekend’s fixture in some capacity.
"As a camp, we have always had positive dialogue with, and assurance from, Chelsea FC in relation to Raheem’s future at the club, so we look forward to gaining clarity on the situation.
"Until then, we will continue to support Raheem’s desire to start the new season positively."

I think the Chelsea tactics of falling over in the box and claiming a penalty hasn't worked that well so far.
They should be going for it because they won't get a better chance to find City this rusty and weak.
However, happy they are not taking their chances!! 😜

Daniel Sturridge’s outfit is one of the worst fashion crimes I’ve EVER seen.

Was once fantastic, but this is now correct.

So in many ways, it's a surprise Everton didn't sign him when Chelsea snapped him up - presumably for an eye watering wage.
Played to get a transfer (pay day) and reverted to type.

I see KDH is on the bench for Chelsea. He's going to have to get used to that. Chased the money and joined a batshit crazy club. Whereas he could have come here.......and immediately be loaned out to a championship club to further his development. 😀
