I also felt similar about Norwich in the Prem. Maybe I’m against eastern angles.
Could be you're unconsciously biased against tractors and canaries! 😉

Horrible injury for Danilo of Forest early on. Possibly from one of those passages of play that everyone knows is offside but they have to keep running until the phase is over. If that is the case, they'll be fuming (I know Forest are always fuming with officials, but even more so).

Schär of the Saudis sent off for a relatively minor butting of heads with Brereton-Diaz, who dropped like a stone in a quite impressive display of theatrics.

Sue Smith (Everton fan and match summariser) on Soccer Saturday has just informed us that Minteh has been outstanding in our game, which will further please the Saudi fans.

That’s just not a penalty and nothing can convince me otherwise, if you get your toe on the ball then get the player that’s NOT a foul, unless excessive force is used, which it clearly wasn't

wrong decision but VAR didn’t interfere because of the even more subjective ‘it wasn’t that obvious’ nonsense that we are going to hear everyone arguing about all season

I don't care who wins this match but that was NOT a penalty.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Indeed. I was watching on mute, whilst having a small Saturday evening dance, saw the replay and jived with a pen-cancelling motion. I then did a tantrum dance as i couldn't believe the penalty decision stood. Stupid decision.

The pundits on Sky back the penalty decision as it was the referees decision?

It’s wrong, simple as that, the VAR official said it wasn’t a clear play at the ball? Baffling stuff.
