Use of this “calendar year” statistic gained some momentum last year when it was happily thrown at Palace by the media for being the worst team in any league over the “calendar year”.

IIRC correctly we were 4th or 5th from bottom in the Premier League at the time. :D

It is easily the most pointless, irrelevant statistic that football has ever come up with. Football has seasons, not calendar years.

Still 364 days between Home wins. I get why you’d be a bit touchy about the term calendar year though.

At least the fifth penalty for Everton in the Premier League ahead of Man City 4 scored. 1-1 HT.

Penalty Everton..contact outside?

3/1

Yes and wasn't a foul. The Everton player hit the Swansea player's shin with his back lift while running causing him to trip himself up, all outside the area. Never mind

Good result for us but how sh1te are Swansea?

Said on the day we were slightly fortunate to be playing such a poor side, but 3 points we did get. Could be vital.

I watched the 90 minutes of our win at Swansea on a stream a few weeks ago. They were comfortably the WORST team I have seen this season, simply bereft of confidence, guile or cutting edge. They are absolutely dire, and doomed IMO. Anyone within 6 points of them this season is going straight down with them.

Bearing in mind there were 4 goals it was quite possibly the worst game ive ever seen

Worse game ever seen? Thats quite a statement.

Mine was a European Championship match years ago when both teams went through if it finished 1-0 to Holland. It did and they just booted it out for throw-ins deliberately. The crowd were not happy.

Exactly, I think that's more the point. Seasons are not relevant with what I am talking about. Imagine looking back on the year on New year's Eve and we hadn't won this Saturday thinking about all the time and money spent during the year without even 1 win

Swansea looked even more doomed (if that is possible) this time last year but stayed up quite comfortably in the end on 42 points.

Two wins in a row and it all changes - look at Palace.

That was mainly down to their last five games 4 wins and a draw =13 points

Three managers last season..but behind the curve this one
