No comment till the famously strong backboned chickens from north London play Sunday.

I dusted off a very rarely used Betfair account. The markets, imho, failed to take into account the key of home advantage.

In other news, the real Andy Naylor tweeted yesterday that Albion could still finish anywhere between 8th and 13th. He's not technically correct, because he's assuming that Villa won't get anything at Man City, but you know, Gerrard desperate to win the league for Liverpool, last-day drama and all that ... Palace, Newcastle and Brentford could all overtake us if we lose to West Ham, who will believe they can overhaul Manchester United for a Europa League spot.

I'm betting we'll end up 13th. But would that be too much of a disaster, equalling our best-ever finish?

Spurs are going to need reinforcements in midfield in order to stay top 4 and mount a challenge in Europe. I think this is the best option for Biss, assuming Tottenham get the point they need against Norwich.

However, we need to ensure they don't offload any dross onto us, like Winks.

I know a couple of Spurs fans. They want Biss, Cucurella & Lamptey, they think they are all significant upgrades on what they have in those positions, which is hard to argue against. Biss & Cucurella were supreme against Spurs recently and Conte is no fool, he would have seen that and taken notes.

I think Manchester City might not give a shit about whether Steven Gerrard is desperate or not. They could just watch him handing them the title in 2014, have a good laugh and then go out and beat the shit out of them. That's what I'm putting my money on.

Still, if the 13th place would happen... bit disappointing obviously but the points tally is more interesting IMO as you cant really control what other teams are doing. 48 pts would still be good regardless of the position.

I would say that Conte's priority for spending is centre back. He likes to play with 3 and only Romero is top quality. Dier and Davies have done incredibly well but are not natural CBs and are both limited, while Davinson Sanchez and Jo Rodon - who ARE central defenders - are behind them in the pecking order. He needs at least 2 CBs and won't have much change out of £80mill for those.

Wing backs are the biggest priority, the whole system depends on it - I can see Reggy/Emerson being sold.

Dier has been outstanding this year and should be in the England squad, toss up between him and Son for my POTY.

Sanchez is a clown

Would you put Dier ahead of Dunk and Webster?

I can't believe the job Conte has done at Spurs, getting performances out of players that looked terrible under Mourinho and Nuno and with a paper-thin bench, and having the balls to let Dele Alli go. Pound for pound, he wins my Prem Manager of the Season.

Arguably, he has done it with only 6 players of real top quality, and 2 of them are loan players. They are not that far behind Chelsea who are stacked with talent.

Obviously it's not my money but the only thing i really care about is getting above Palace. If we finish 13th and do that I'll be chuffed.

I'd rather finish 12th and below Palace than 13th and above them. This is the most talented Brighton side I can remember, it needs to raise the bar for the club with our highest top flight finish. While it would be nice to finish above Palace, making history is more important .

Yeah i get some people feel differently but at this point i don't really care. A place here or there doesn't really make any difference to whether it's been a successful season or not (it has) but finishing above Palace gives us bragging rights about being better than them for the first time in decades.

But Villa are coached by the best English manager in the PL, I know this because I read it on here when he was appointed Villa manager. Expect Villa to spank City and hand Liverpool the title.
