Shef U. It’s like watching Wimbledon from 1988. Keeper launching it, long throws, crosses chucked in from all angles. Wilder showing his true self.

Funny you mention that ( I haven't seen/watched this eve) but I was thinking earlier today that Burnley are the new Wimbledon. Love it or hate it, forcing the game your own way and getting a result is better than pretending your great and getting shown up trying to be snazzy. . . . . Now. . . Where Have I seen that . . .

BIG point for Burnley tonight -they still have a game in hand on us

Manager is one of biggest achievers. Spend very little and must look on us as big spenders. Plays same way every year and every game. Seem to get outplayed in so many games but because of defensive qualities gets results. Always said plays Houghton style but does it better. Would be interesting how he would get on with club that had very big player budget If no injuries sticks to very small group of players and believes in them 100%

Wilder has surely got to go now if they want to have any chance of staying up realistically, probably tomorrow morning.

They must be crap to lose to Manchester United 2-3 at home.

Oh. :jester:

Still don't see why Brighton kept White at the start of the season when they clearly required a good striker. Against Fulham your best chances all fell to your defenders. Fulham were poor and were there for the taking. As for Leeds not defending at corners, they have 3 centre halves out injured, and despite conceding from a Newcastle corner, also scored two goals from Newcastle corners. Although Leeds will continue to concede from set pieces, six more wins should see them safe. Can see them beating most of the teams below them so six wins should be achievable.

Have to disagree with your statement about Hughton - Dyche is not a better manager than Hughton. He is a one team coach and probably would not be any good anywhere else. He has managed roughly the same number of games as Hughton in the PL and has a poorer win record over his managerial career when compared to Hughton and Hughton has done it with several teams - and Dyche has also been relegated from the PL. Burnley do spend money - in particular they spent a lot of money (and brought in loan signings) when they were last promoted in 2016 and that season now forms the backbone of the current squad. And Dyche's teams have never played any other way than they did tonight - Hughton's teams have (as Forest currently are). Dyche has effectively had 6 years of building a PL squad and a mentality at the club (including the relegation and bounce back) and when you get that much time you can become hard to beat even on relatively limited resources.

That was just after the foul just outside the Burnley box near the end. Made me realise he is a very mouthy little git as he often curses opposition players during matches. With his diving and being gobby he is going to piss off a lot of other players.

He said somrthing similar to Pascal Gross after running into him to draw a freekick.

I've always thought he'd struggle, he rules the roost there and everyone does what he says . . . . if he had a gang of prima donnas they'd rebel and it would fall apart. I think you need a different menatilities to manage at different levels. Over achiever without doubt.

All you talk about here is Hughton? Why don’t you join the Forest forum?
