Definitely gonna try and get to St James this season. Amazing place.

I always find Newcastle fans to be really overrated. Not as loud as 50k fans should be.

Did Murphy take the ball there? I thought he did tbh but his reaction and the VAR not overturning suggests he didn’t. I’ve seen a few posts on here saying West Ham aren’t very good and overrated etc - I think they’re very good. Look so dangerous. Good game this.

I take it Newcastle were ahead at halftime despite Bruce.
While now Newcastle are behind because of Bruce.

I turned on at 2-1. It has been a West Ham masterclass. Newcastle defence reassuringly dodgy.

So, Harry Kane hasn't turned up for work again.

West Ham are fortunate to be playing this lot with no Willock, Schar, Lascelles in the starting XI.

Declan Rice is having a storming half.

Newcastle started off so well, ASM has looked very dangerous, but West Ham have been quality. They'll be up the top end most of this season I reckon.

The pundits have just confirmed what I thought - no pen so why haven’t VAR reacted there - as bad as ours yesterday really… like not using VAR so much but they still have to get the clear and obvious ones right and step in…

Maybe it's was still the new Oz ref on VAR that we had yesterday and is still learning the ropes.

VAR seems to have gone completely the other way, like it is not worth having, we either get it totally wrong, then change it but still get it wrong are they thick or something, what about the TV monitor?
We are going to go back to useless decisions made by useless refs like it was before VAR and I do not want that.
Why can't our lot get it right like the Euros?

The concerns raised by Brentford and Watford's strong performances, have been eased by Palace/Newcastle/Southampton's defences.

Take Sarr away and Watford were good but not that good.
Brentford did OK but we all gatecrashed a party, even half of the guests (Arsenal) either did not or could not attend.
Wait 10 matches.

Give me useless refs making mistakes with one viewing of an incident over the VAR muppets drawing lines and looking for any reason to get involved in the game, then invariably still getting the decision wrong any day of the week.

City have rocketed to the top of my hope they lose and any one but them for the title team.

Perversely, I want city to thrash everyone except us, to increase dissatisfaction with them especially by others from the ill-fated ESL. It would be lovely if the FA actually brought FFP rules in that meant something.

And also Southampton vs Tottenham in the late 70's. Always hated spurs since then.

Yes the thin lines were ridiculous, they seem to have made them thicker and that is why quick decisions have been made with one quick look, which is much better but there has been mistakes that VAR said OK but they were wrong and should have sent the ref to the screen.
I do not want to go back to hopeless refs making terrible decisions and getting away with it.

Go back to terrible decisions? What about the push on Maupay yesterday? VAR was a fat lot of good wasn't it. It is useless.
