Why should Palace be relegated? They've won 10 games.
Admittedly I haven’t watched the last few matches but the lack of fans and frequency of the matches has really affected the quality of the league as the seasons gone on. There seems to have been barely any goals or entertainment over the last couple of months.
Yup. Too bad for WBA, they lost it in the summer with their poor recruitment, and then once they were started to get in to it, they sacked Jovic and had to start over. Some poor decisions. The trio they added in January really improved the team but it was too little and too late.

Not at all, but we can't keep failing, the average scoring percentage for all penalties is 74.88% and we missed two, unforgivable in my book, buck up lads..
I agree with that, when you are under that much pressure you blast it in the middle of the goal neither did that.
Also remember the penalty after the final whistle, the Dunk free kick and a total balls up by our usually reliable goalie.
Add long term injuries to our best players and Welbeck and Lallana in and out or not capable of playing for 90 minutes.
We have hit the woodwork more times than i can count and we do create lots of good chances but miss most of them, this is not Potters fault as my wife could have scored some of them
Some of Potters picks though have left me dumbfounded and the amount of times we have been a totally different side in the 2nd half and thrown games away at the end with stupid mistakes usually down to my pet hate zonal marking.
Our success from set pieces and crossing the ball lends a bit to be desired to.
Some of the substitutions have been bizarre as well.
It's a results based business and so I doubt that Potter would be in charge at most other PL clubs right now because our lack of wins, especially against teams below and around us and our home form is shocking but he is on a ridiculously quick long term contract. Potters after match comments are a wind up with a lack of animation, managers usually pay the ultimate price for the players lack of ability to score and the more the pressure mounts the more difficult it becomes.
At least Palace won but we now need Southampton to have a bad day due to injuries and we need some much overdue luck but it is sad that we are relying in this yet again to survive.
So, a right old mix mash of reasons as to why we are where we are which is why we are split in whether Potter should go or not, which is totally understandable.

Hodgson’s simply doing what George Graham, Bassett, Gould, Pulis, Dyche and many others have done since the game was created.
A mass defence of giants with loads of midfield cover, hellbent on not conceding. The aim to nick a win, at worst get a draw.
Mind numbingly boring for the neutral, unfortunately it’s tried and tested.
It preserves their EPL status and access to well over £100m per season ad infinitum.
Whereas we’re attempting something for the purists. We have exactly half the number of their EPL wins and are on a relegation knife edge.
We’re nicer to watch, but the risks are huge and we very rarely have the joy of a win.

We’ve got a massive close season and I feel that Howe will be the man to start the rebuild. You’ve still got it all to do and I’ll be watching with interest

Don Howe died years ago.
But he would have filled the gap left by Roy perfectly.
Can't believe I am yet again grateful for Palace beating a relegation contender but I am.
But to play that way again at home against West Brom with no real pressure and your potential attacking options must make your piss boil.
No sour grapes, you are where you are and its all about staying in the league at the end of the season.

FFS Everton.
Its easy to forget the infinite number of managers/teams that tried the same thing, got relegated and forgotten.
Not to forget: then what happens to those clubs? At one point either their magical result fixer leaves or they simply go down and then there they are in the Championship, where they are no longer unique - they are simply a Championship club with Championship players on Premier League wages and they either end up deep in the shit like Bolton or they spend 20 years or more in lower divisions trying to pay for the approach that everyone thought were pragmatic but ultimately ended up naive, because its no sustainable way to run a football club.
Brighton are as likely as any of the small fishes to go down if not this year then at some point, but there's some mechanisms in the club that will allow it to bounce up relatively quickly in case that happens, and at some point in the future its realistic to dream about an extended run in the PL, independent of managers and players coming and going.
Doesnt matter. Burnley are going nowhere. Its Brighton, Fulham or Newcastle.
