I'm actually genuinely looking forward to the Liverpool-Leeds match. Will be fascinating. The rest look distinctly average in terms of likely entertainment*. [*apart from ours, of course....]

Thanks for confirming we’re actually in the PL, Bozza.

I just read 3 (THREE!) leading BBC articles including “your essential guide to” and we’re not even mentioned in 2. In the other, we’re simply acknowledged as Chelsea’s first opponents...and THAT is it!

Impartiality at its best, the Beeb!

NSC when Liverpool looked like losing out on the title to Covid - ha ha, good, they're plastic scousers anyway.

NSC when Liverpool are takng on Leeds in the season opener - Come On You Reds! YNWA!

(Oh, and I might be tempted by the Fulham game but will probably be given jobs by Mrs GB, Palace / Saints can do one, the above clash is an absolute MUST and I'll be far enough into my wine lake by the last game that I won't give a shit).

Better remember to get my Super 6 on though.

Leeds in the PL?

Really I'd have never of guessed it. Christ, they're building the Liverpool game up as one of the most important games in the history of football. Hopefully after the game and a resounding beating Leeds will crawl away to the bottom of the table and stay there.

Has to be a good round of fixtures for the underdogs, based on how out-of-sorts those representing England looked this week.

International players being away from their clubs for a reasonable chunk of pre-season training won't have helped the more-fancied sides either.

I'm somewhat conflicted.

I don't like football.
I certainly don't like watching football.
Football is the Albion and nothing else...

...but:-

West Ham v Newcastle has a very intriguing feel to it.

I guess I do like watching car crashes and that fixture has to be a banker for some kind of crash, for someone.
