I am no master tactician but can anyone see Man U’s style of play? They really don’t seem to have any patterns at all going forward.
They have no style at all.

They can’t press energetically because they STILL don’t have the players who can do it.

They still can’t sit back Hughton stylee and hit on the break because their fans would crucify them.

They can’t play pure possession football either.

So every game is a mix of a pastiche of the three.

Generally get by on luck, pace and their away support.

Garnacho has to feature in that. Really frustrating player. Was on the ball a lot but doesn't really look like he knows what he's doing. Lots of running into blind allies and running it out of play.
Now you’ve done it! He’s United’s Enciso

Worldly incoming

Went to the match today - joined the prawn sandwich brigade. I wish we’d played that Arsenal team - they looked really tired in the second half. in the first half you could see how much better Arsenal, were coached by their movement. United were poor - never really threatened. Strangely the Old Trafford library was quite noisy today - a new phenomenon

I watched on an American stream. Breath of fresh air to listen to Graeme Le Saux commentating. Knowledgeable, interesting, humorous, low key and no obvious bias at all. So different to what might as well have been NUFC TV coverage I had to listen to yesterday. Bloody rubbish game though

They pass the ball to one of their players, and they run forward until they lose the ball

Given that he plays his club football for Man United and internationally he represents Not England, I don’t find his lack of cutting edge frustrating at all!

😁
