Just shows what a top keeper can do for you, they could easily have been 2 down and out of it but go away with 3 points.

How are goalkeepers ever meant to save penalties now? They have to put all their weight on one leg to keep one foot on the line which means any good penalty taker can just stutter and place the ball in the other side and it’s an easy goal. Very harsh on keepers.

There’s hope for Maupay yet lol

So much hate Villa, it maybe irrational but ffs they are a horrible team. Unfortunately refs play into their hands

Stand your ground in the middle is the best option as you’re unlikely to save one in either corner and a good proportion get blasted down the middle. Also means you don’t fall prey to stutter step antics or other games.

Moutinho second yellow. The Complete And Utter Shyster back to his best form, the King of the Card. 9 yellows, 2 reds.

Villa are such a jammy side. No way they deserved to win that.

I've been led to believe nearly all penalties are saved unless Maty is in goal.

I did have a look last night but couldn't find an answer to, me loving to know how many penalties have been physically saved by keepers, this season.

Maty's getting hammered for not saving 20% of the penalties he's faced, but I'd be amazed if that's the figure for this season.

Penalties aside let’s be honest here, he doesn’t have much to save and doesn’t save much either. The fact that he nearly always goes the wrong way for a pen is just an irritation but it does reduce the chance of a save down to nearly zero.
