Forget whether it's clear and obvious or not, just send the ref to the monitor. Surely this is the whole point of VAR being in place
Especially when they’re 50 yards away and guessing decisions!

Wolves much better under this new manager - not looking forward to playing them or Newcastle tbh.

It's a massive decision that could have a huge bearing on a lot of teams this season. Chances are if Pope goes and they score the pen Newcastle lose, Wolves are closer to safety and we are closer to Europe and Newcastle are hampered for the next 4 games. I totally understand the on field ref not being sure but VAR HAS to refer it. Utter buffoons.
Two games. They did correct themselves. One game for the red for denying a goal scoring opportunity, second game because it would have been a second ban this season.

What we're the wolves defence doing there? All running towards the ball and leaving Almiron all on his own.

Wish we had referees this biased - scared of the St James’ Park crowd and getting abuse for sure.

Oh well beat Palace 4-0 and go above Liverpool on goals scored!
Damn! I already put us down as winning 2-0 in the score predictor thingy.

Arsenal have been absolutely phenomenal today. Could and probably should be 6-7 up. Fulham shocking but to be fair this Arsenal team really look the business.

They play so similar to us!!!
Yes. Statistically similar too if you compare our recent two games against Fulham where both ourselves and Arsenal had 7 shots on target.

However, there is a difference. The Londoners only had themselves 15 shots against Fulham in total where as we smashed it out the park with 21.

Let’s not discuss the number of actual goals scored though! 😵‍💫

Shame about that last result - apart from us sloppily losing 2 points at Leeds (to go along with the 5 points recently lost against Palarse and Fulham) it could have been a very good weekend for us - Liverpool pegged back, United thwarted and Fulham and Brentford put in their place.

Ah well - on to Palarse - 5-0 or better takes us up to 6th!
