How have Palace got so many points? They look like a league one team. A bit of huff and puff from time to time and absolutely no quality. If they had five points less I'd suggest relegation being a real possibility.

Connolly has scored a wonder goal and was stupidly plastered all over the media and put straight into Ireland's senior team.
Although I think he has been carrying an injury he has not done much since, but I do think he will be good.
I like Maupay but he is not an out and out striker, we need someone that has a higher rate of scoring from the chances he is given.
Maupay, Connolly and Murray as our main goalscorers worry me.

Well the Palace B team are doing OK , without Townsend, VanAanholt, Ward, Schlupp, Sakho, Millivojevic, (Benteke?) and Dann who would all be in the first team squad with at least 5 of them being starters.

So yes there is a decent team there and 9th in the league proves it.

Sometimes when I read the odd thread on NSC I have to go and look at the table as Palace seem to be the worst team in the league and BHA should be pushing for a champions league place according to some on here.

Saturdays game being a point...most commentators and papers I read had it as a "spicy" London derby with Arsenal dominating the first 30 then Palace getting to grips with the game and forcing the game from there on...On here it was a crap game between two crap sides

I know some like to keep the pantomime rivalry going but sometimes take the white and blue specs off

Yes, from the moment Andone left we've looked light of options in attack. No criticism of Connolly, you can't expect a 19 y/o to provide consistency. No criticism of Murray either, it's not reasonable to ask a 36 y/o to provide us the movement that GP demands week in week out. Maupay has done really well in his first season, but there are games when the amount of running he has done has looked as if it has caught up with him.

A game where, in the first half, you looked like a league one team. Much like you did for 70 minutes against us. And for most of the times I've seen you play(granted that's not that often). Based on the evidence of what I've seen it is amazing you're doing so well. That's the point I was making in my original post.

The problem with Brighton fans is you are blinded by the “ Potterball revolution “
You look down your noses at teams you perceive to not play “the right way”.
All your tippy tappy build up from the keeper , across the back 3/4/5 is negated by a high pressing team, and leads to Dunk launching it.
We’ll see at the end of the season who’s the luckiest shall we ?

Thats fair enough...Palace are not that easy on the eye at the moment but are functional and set about a job well. Even when we played you and TBH you played us off the park for 70 mins, but in all honesty I didnt think you would score again and never really looked like doing so.

Other than your first line, what a load of bollocks. You have players missing so maybe with them all fit you are half decent. I'm not convinced. You haven't been in the games I've seen you play but maybe those injured players will get you playing better.

The rest is just utter shite.

I wouldn't dispute that - it would be foolish to do so given your repeated strong mid-table finishes, often despite atrocious starts.

I would imagine I know considerably more Brighton fans than you, and spend far more time talking about Brighton's merits relative to other sides than you. I don't know anyone who looks down their noses at other sides. Take the recent defeat to Sheffield United for example. Everyone I know was full of praise for the way the opposition went about their task

Brighton fans trying to claim some sort of footballing moral high ground (see also: stadium high ground, training ground high ground, doing things the right way high ground etc etc) fits the narrative you want, so you're clinging onto something that just isn't true.

I can't think of any occasions where Dunk is launching panicked clearances brought about by our desire to play it out from the back. It's probably happened, but if it has it's been so infrequent that I can't recall it.

We're not alone in adopting this style of play to beat the high press, and it's clear that some of our players are better at it than others, but Potter has only had one transfer window to begin assembling the players he sees as a match for his approach.

Mistakes will happen, it will take time. Fortunately Potter had a decent enough start that we didn't need to start shitting ourselves from the off, as was the case with your ill-fated attempt to change your style with de Boer.

You do realise that NSC is a small band of sad, middle aged, predominantly dull social inadequates, Bozza included, and not our entire fan base I take it? The majority of us don't look down on teams like Bournemouth and recognise who we are as a club and are realistic fans like those of any other club.
