Cos you played so well against us last season and had such an inspired start to this one.

Your victory over us last season was voted our worst performance of the season. Lightening doesnt strike twice and even if it does, you didnt actually get 6 points off us last year. But if you are confident, get yourself down the bookies. Seriously do.

Did we win because it was your worst performance or did you lose because we outclassed you and outplayed you?

Funny - I was at the Plymouth game first day of the season - sat next to a Saints STH who told me he only saw two teams play better than them last season at St Marys - Norwich and Swindon.

I didn't have the heart [or balls, frankly] to mention Gus's 42nd birthday party

Well I think the first part of your question answers the second. Kind of connected. I saw 5 or 6 Albion games last season and the team at SMS was a completely different one to the rest of the season. Similarly we were the exact opposite. Now stop creaming yourself over one f***ing game and point to a season that lasted 46, where we finished comfortably higher than you despite giving you a ten point head start. So f***ing get over it.

You do realise that Southampton are generally known as a MASSIVE club, so it is expected for you to finish higher than us, however, it is out of the norm for a club of such stature to be in this low division. It is our right as Brighton fans to celebrate victories over south coast rivals, especially comprehensive and comfortable victories like last November.

I also recall you only managed an injury time equaliser against us to earn the point...

I'm not 'creaming myself' over anything. You seem to be very keen to belittle Brighton - I assume it is some basic sibling rivalry.

Southampton was a very welcome 4 points and not because it was Southampton.

..... a deserved point though.

Massive club ? Not sure the people on this board will agree with that.

Deserved point my arse, just an aggressive hoof ball team with no class
Reflecting its manager at the time. Zola (if it is him) will hopefully play a less 'agricultural' style of football.

Since Pardew's departure, the saints don't seem as bad to me.

Incorrect. No manager = we are shit.

Sorry I didn't phrase that very well. I meant I don't dislike Southampton, I just couldn't stand Pardew. A new manager (like Zola) will hopefully play a more attractive style of football.

IMO it doesnt matter who it is - Brown, Atkins etc. Given our resources, ground, training facilities and fan base (considering it's L1), any of these guys should be able to get us up either this season or next and possibly knock on the play off door in the champ.

My worry is our chairman. He's clearly a control freak. This photographer issue is making us a laughing stock.

I went on a tour of SMS yesterday (prezzie from the wife) and the tour guide dude reckons this job will be for a coach not manager. Salaries, new signings etc will not be done by the new man in charge. Could be a disuade a potential good manager.

Have they not sorted out that ridiculous photographer issue yet?
