We score fairly early. Another by about 35 minutes. Great atmosphere at this point.

They get one back and start to strangle the game going into the 2nd half. Endless stoppages for head injuries, cramp, substitutions, their goalie needs help lacing his boots, you know the stuff.

We get a third around 70 mins but it's all too little, too late. Supreme "game management" sees them through to the end.

3-1 full time and everyone goes home relatively happy.
But for the dream I'd settle for that. I think most sensible fans would want to applaud them off for their Euro efforts but it will be a big ask if it goes pear shaped early.

Score an early goal and another just before half time. Second half lots of time wasting by Roma and then Fergie scores around 82 minutes, WBG scores his first goal in the 89th minute to draw scores level – Amex goes bonkers. 6 minutes of added time and with 30 seconds left we pass our way up field and Enciso hits one of his piledrivers into the top corner – RDZ does a knee slide the whole length of the West Stand and the Amex explodes.

Each to their own, but anyone, barring health/personal issues, who doesn't stick around to applaud the players after a) one of the all time great comebacks or b) to mark the conclusion of our first ever (and very exciting) European campaign, should hang their head in shame.

I really hope there aren’t loads of early leavers - in my mind the whole point of tonight is to give the lads the ovation they deserve after full time 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m going with a 9th minute OG from one of our defenders (undecided who yet) followed by 81 minutes of Roma head injuries.

I’d happily settle for any/all of the following:
Crowd getting behind team from the kick off
A win of any type
Clean sheet
Early goal to give us hope
Team playing well even if we lose
No injuries or red cards to impact the PL run in

It’s a big ask to do enough to win through to the next round. But would be great if we could get some goals to keep the crowd engaged at full volume. The atmosphere when we finally scored in home match vs Marseille was fantastic as was the after whistle celebrations. Would love some more of that. Regardless, I’ll be there clapping the players at the end as they go round the ground to show their appreciation for our support. Let’s make it worth their while….

Two down quicker than we were at Luton.

25% decide to leave immediately

HT still 2-0, another 30% of the home faithful leave, with loads staying on the concourse with drinks.

The heavens open during HT, with rain in biblical proportions for the whole of the second half.

Meanwhile an RDZ masterstroke during HT, as he shows the players a video of the Walsall game at the Goldstone from all those years ago.

In the second half the miracle happens, Welbeck with 4 and Ferguson with 3, as we win 7-2 on the night, and 7-6 overall.

Although only around 10,000 left going wild and celebrating well into the night, the next morning 100,000 claim to have been in the ground to watch the win.

It'll be Bart.....cue thirty different threads about goalkeepers and leaving managers. Or,

Leading 2-0 at half time, we get another on 51 minutes and they get one on 70 minutes....the crowd goes as flat as the beer served on the concourse

We could be 7-0 up against Palace in a game where a win would see us crowned Premier League champions and people would still be nipping off at 79 mins to avoid the rush for the trains.

We just keep giving it to Enciso, who is lurking 40 yards out ( ala Johnny Wilkinson, although under the bar obvs) and he just keeps banging in worldies from outside the box. 4-0 at half time. Easy peasy.

In this scenario I’d 100% be in the back of a police wagon by this stage - the excitement would be too much and I’d have ran on the pitch as the 6th went in… 🤣

A gang of stella sodden seagulls attack the roma keeper in the 15th minute, rendering him all partially sighted, the ref waves play on. Enciso scores a hatrick and Lamptey 2 headers to seal the deal. . .

or maybe something else.
