......and just for good measure we then get drawn to play the games in the tropical heat of northern Brazil which is supposedly going to be very, very tough conditions and to be avoided by lilywhite northern European teams, let alone our pampered Premiership dandies and their WAGs.

Drew the groups a number of times to get an idea. We're probably gonna have a toughish group, on the balance of averages.

Looks mostly like we'll be battling for 2nd behind a stronger side, and needing to beat someone like Ghana, Japan, Chile etc to get through.
