The dull part of the south coast
I’ll let you all know after I’ve been to the Villarreal and Everton games! I’ve got to say my mojo is extremely high, purely on the potential that this team of players has to offer. We’ve got talent in abundance but it needs to be harnessed which may take some time, so I’m allowing for a few hiccups at the back - which I’m sure Fab is/will be addressing as priority. Mojo - meter? 8.95. :albion2:

6 - I feel positive and am looking forward to the season ahead BUT I don't think we'll do anything special this season.

I've just got a feeling that we'll look back on this year and conclude that both the club and De Zerbi were right at the same time. Our squad is too thin and lacking in experience to compete for trophies and Europe and concurrently, that the club couldn't have delivered what De Zerbi wanted player wise without ripping up the Tony Bloom playbook, which is the correct way of doing things for a club of our size. And because of those things a longer period with Fabian at the helm (even if he doesn't deliver the outstanding results Roberto did in the short term) will be a good thing for the club but this season will also feel like a bit of a reset and/or step back from the heights of the last two seasons (which is also fine).

I'm a classic football fan, it's always high in pre season!

But I genuinely didn't particularly enjoy last season as I felt our football wasn't great for the majority of the season, I thought RDZ was a dick, there was an air of negativity around him and he pissed me off a lot so I am feeling especially positive about this season. I find FH very endearing so hoping he has a really positive impact on the way we play on the pitch and I also think Minteh is going to be a superstar and blow us away this season.

Plus I can't wait to see Hinsh and March back on the pitch.

Mojo knocked by Gross departure, but, some exciting new boys. I am expecting a season of development, and league position isn't too important, so long as we stay up, and compete in every game.

You didn't enjoy the European adventure? You thought RDZ was a dick for fighting for additional resources to bolster an unprecedented injury crisis? Wow. Tough entitled crowd

I'm imagining a back four/five of Cadioglu, JPVH, Hummels, Dunk and Barco, a midfield of Wiefer and O'Riley, Mitoma and Minteh on the wings, Enciso and Joao Pedro at 9 and 10, and a bench that includes Baleba, Hinsh, Yalcouye, Osman, Welbeck, Adingra, Sarmiento and Ayari. What a squad, especially with Solly, Ferguson and Estupinan to come back.

And then we lose 1-0 at Everton ...
