Or qualify for Europe and get 4 games minimum.
Seriously though, if we struggle to sell out a top team at home in a friendly, how many would really spend say £500 to visit somewhere in Germany for a game. Even Lille would cost minimum £300 for a day trip.
Still probably cheaper than a trip to Newcastle in the FA Cup

I think we're all getting a bit carried away dreaming of trips to interesting, modest European venues. We're forgetting that we are now an established Premier League 'brand' who has value and can command a fee for participating in overseas games.

It certainly helps our relationship with Nike and American Express to expand our profile overseas. Hence Japan and USA in recent seasons.
If I were a betting man I would expect us to return to North America, particularly with the World Cup being played there next year. The North American stadiums will want venues tested with "real Soccer fans".
Am I correct in thinking we remain the only sports team in the world sponsored by American Express?

Another 4 team tournament in the USA or Canada it is then.

You know that last pre season game at the AMEX when we play a sort of Spanish version of West Ham.
Great if we could have an away game instead for just one pre season.
Big stadium
Reasonably accessible for many.
Affordable
Overnight stop.
Good city square etc.
Any venues ? eg I would like LYON.
60k stadium.
Milan ? Germany? Glasgow?
Put it out early, who knows, PB may oblige if possible.
Will you open all the blocks at once or staggered?

Here
Cadiz, spend the day on the beach swimming, eating and drinking in a Chiringuito and then stroll over the road and into the ground to catch the match

Same with Deportivo La Coruna - you can still be on the beach at 14:50 and be in your seat for a 15:00 kick off.

Valencia, before the Mestalla goes eventually. I've asked PBOBE about this but he explained that the top European teams are pre-booked well in advance. With this in mind relegation-threatened Valencia may available soon. Lovely city, nicer than Barcelona and friendly people.

Germany, France or NL would be great. Although I imagine we'll do another tour to the US this year.

Did we officially sign that Korean wonderkid last month?

If so, I can hear Seoul calling... 💰

My favorite city in Spain, haven't been to Mestalla though. Read somewhere that they had resumed working on the new one. They run out of money some 15 years ago.
