got to say it seems a little lightweight for div 1 preperation

Totally agree.....

Surely Mcghee with his connections could have got us some game with more competition for pre-season preps.

Millwall would have been good??

There's still time to organise more!

I quite fancy going to the Aldershot game. Any idea what date it is on?

the AFC Wimbledon game will be a good one to go to, aside from the fact its around the corner from me at home it will be good to give support to them

Aldershot one will be fantastic. A weekend of home cooking.

All those whinging about the opposition. Well I do not see the point of a home friendly, costs too much to put on, have to give the other team a cut of the gate receipts and people always moan that the tickets cost too much. At the end of the day if the non league ones are used early on as an exercise in getting people fit and then the league ones used at the end, it will be fine.

A bit dissapointed there is not a tour, as this is a good way to get any new players to settle in.

I'm staying at yours the night before :lolol:

We do go through this every year. It's quite simple - teams from the same division don't play each other. Teams from Premiership don't play at home to lower division clubs. We can't afford an overseas tour. We are limited to a maximum of 1 home friendly - there may be problems with the seats not being back in time so we may get none.

Far from ideal but won't change until we get Falmer.

friendlies are there to get players match fit and to give trialsts a chance, if we did play a big team its not really a test for div 1, players dont put themselves out too much for risk of injury. if we played a big team they would be a shadow of their league form

5 or 6 games is what we need regardless of oppisition to prepare us for div 1

any idea of when these will be? Cambridge will have to be a definite seeing as its a local for me.
Shit ground apart from the brand new away stand, if they keep the away support there again this season. Long, long walk from the station for those who would go by train. Won't bother me though!!:)
