May go to Lewes away and TBC at the Amex depending on work commitments.

I want to go to the Lewes game but I also want to see Peacehaven v Luton Town on the same day.

Would have gone to Gillingham if it was a Saturday.

Surely it's not beyond the officials of the various clubs to stagger these kick-offs? A Peacehaven-Lewes double would be a great day out.

The kick offs are different times, Peacehaven 1pm and Lewes 3pm.
I think that gives about 15 minutes after the Peacehaven game to get to Lewes. Not sure it can be done without missing part of a match.

I'm going to try for Aberdeen, but even starting out from Leeds it's a bloody long journey. For a 3pm Sunday kickoff i'd need to book hotels (probably in Edinburgh) for both the Friday and Saturday night.

For a pre-season friendly, commitment!

Lewes for sure, like the Dripping Pan. Crawley maybe, as it's not too hard to get to. Amex it depends on the price more than the opponents.

Definitely going to the home game if it's an EPL giant or someone vaguely interesting off the continent. (Heard a rumour it could be FA Cup finalists Aston Villa so the trophy could be on show at the Amex).

7 weeks, 5 days until the first match.

Let's get the squad signings done EARLY, so most of them are available for this one.

Players can be legally signed now, we just have to wait for the transfer of registrations to start on July 1st for all the paperwork to complete.

Is that it ??? How awfully uninspiring.

It wasn't always like this. I remember games in the Seventies against the likes of Moscow Dynamo (when they could play a bit)
and other matches against top tier teams - playing their 1st choice 11 not stuffed with youth squad players.
Friendlies these days - you're having a 'larf !
