Does anyone remember at the Goldstone
the pre match entertainment was David Bedford running around the pitch on the red gra?. Very simple but highly entertaining and I think he did about 50-100 laps. Early/mid 70s I think

Surely the high point of pre match entertainment at The Goldstone was Slade filming their video for Give Us A Goal in front of the North Stand.

Bianca Jagger? Chris Eubank and others were usually introduced and waved from in front of the dugouts at the Goldstone. Never quite sure why.

I was there the day David Bedford did running around the pitch. He was a real athlete and seemed to lope around like a greyhound compared to footballers who just … ran ..
I liked the marching bands.. Give me live music above canned recorded max volume disco beat, anytime..

my favourite memory was Alan Minter giving it large in the centre circle!

I was there for that, 1980 I thin? Steve Ovett on the pitch around the same time
