The Albion are obviously the love of our lives, but if you fancy a brief flirtation with a mistress then you could do worse than a trip to the Dripping Pan before our match with Southampton on January 2.

The Rooks have moved their local derby with Horsham forward to a noon kick off making a double-header of football action a breeze.

The Dripping Pan is less than a five minute walk from Lewes station, Lewes to Falmer is a 7 (seven) minute train ride, you can sup a pint of Harveys on the terrace and, furthermore, anyone under the age of 16 gets in for FREE. What's not to like?

Buses are a Sunday service that day, train service is a Saturday service, presumably with the normal matchday extras. I am trying to find out if Lewes station car park is free that day (it is on Sundays).

If you want to free (bus) Park and Ride from Lewes then:
Parking at County Hall, Lewes, will be free to staff and members of the public from Saturday 24 December 2011 to Monday 2 January 2011 inclusive. The 28/29 bus stop is adjacent to this car park, on the High Street.

Sounds like a great idea HMHB, thanks for this.

How are Lewes doing? Has Steve King done a great job? Promotion on the cards?

liking that idea, after a 10 day stint with the missus, a bit of me time is needed before returning to work.

Lewes 4th, 40 points from 21 games. Got a great, tricky (Italian!) flair winger who helped get 3 Tooting players sent off on saturday by all accounts.

Horsham bottom, 2 wins all season.

Harveys £2.90/pint from memory, 70p cheaper than the Amex. Drink 14 pints and get your £10 entrance money back!

Another top draw match poster from Lewes advertising this game. The Wizard of Ouse (I know) refers to Christian Nanetti who is a tricky winger with a box of skills to match.

Yes, great idea HMHB. Myself and approx. 4 other Albion fans are going to Lewes before the Saints game. The timing is perfect, and the trains so easy, it's silly to stay at home. See you all there !

Sadly, looks like an easy win for Lewes. My home town team are bottom of the league and on a awful run 2 points from 18 games, including losing the last 7 in the league and looking like certs for relegation

Got a Saints fan down for the weekend and he fancies this one. Quick question - what is getting on a Falmer-bound train from Lewes at about 2pm like?
